About Tekdetek

Tekdetek is a free browser VJ tool for live ASCII video, halftone-style treatments, optional AI-assisted detection (luma grid, COCO-SSD objects, PoseNet body tracking), and MP4 export. You wire nodes in a graph — camera or file in, effects in the middle, recording out — with no desktop install.

Written documentation (recommended before your first session): user guide, node reference, preset showcase. The interactive app at /tekdetek/ is the tool itself; help pages are separate so instructions stay readable on phone and desktop.

About the halftone logo tool

The 3D line halftone logo page generates vertical-stroke halftone wordmarks from Google Fonts text — depth wave, glow, PNG export. It is a static generator (not a live video graph). Useful for posters, stream overlays, and title cards that match Tekdetek’s retro-tech aesthetic.
